Examples of Duties
- Validates and approves electronic and paper personnel action forms.
- Enters, maintains, audits and processes sensitive HRIS data.
- Ensures all payroll changes/updates are made in Banner accurately and timely, including but not limited to new hires, terminations, resignations, suspensions, wage rate adjustments, address, name, and other personnel status changes.
- Works closely with budget and payroll to verify accurate payroll prior to final submittal.
- Acts as a resource and guide for managers as it relates to HR data.
- Conducts training for originators and approvers on electronic submission of personnel actions.
- Ensures the highest level of accuracy for data entered in the HR data system (Banner) to ensure data audits.
- Provides data support to HR staff, end-user, and member of senior management.
- Assists with testing prior to the implementation of updates to ensure data integrity in Banner.
- Plans and implements record keeping processes for personnel files.
- Creates and prepares standard ad-hoc reports from Banner.
- Creates and submits monthly and quarterly reports.
Typical Qualifications
- Minimum Required Education: Bachelor Degree preferably in Human Resources, Accounting, or Finance.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of data and information.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge and experience with HRIS systems (preferably Banner) and data management.
- Knowledge base of HR and Payroll related laws and regulations, compliance, and best practices.
- Ability to effectively conduct training.
- Ability to gather, collate, and/or classify data.
- Ability to query and formulate data to prepare reports as needed.
- Ability to manage emergencies mid-crisis situations.
