Which companies sponsor visas for technical architects in Missouri?
World Wide Technology in St. Louis is one of Missouri's largest technology employers and has a consistent record of H-1B visa sponsorship for technical roles. Mastercard's St. Louis operations, Oracle Health (formerly Cerner) in Kansas City, and Edward Jones also appear in Department of Labor LCA filings for technical architect positions. Larger enterprises in financial services and healthcare IT are the most active sponsors.
Which visa types are most common for technical architect roles in Missouri?
The H-1B is the most common visa for technical architects in Missouri, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Some candidates transfer via L-1A or L-1B visas when moving within a multinational company. Nationals from Australia and Canada may also qualify for E-3 visa and TN visas respectively, where the role meets specialty occupation criteria.
Which cities in Missouri have the most technical architect sponsorship jobs?
St. Louis accounts for the majority of technical architect sponsorship activity in Missouri, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, financial institutions, and managed services firms like World Wide Technology. Kansas City is the second-largest market, with notable activity in healthcare IT, insurance technology, and logistics. Smaller metro areas like Springfield have limited sponsorship volume for this role.
How to find technical architect visa sponsorship jobs in Missouri?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can search for technical architect roles in Missouri without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings from Missouri employers with documented sponsorship activity, including companies in St. Louis's enterprise tech sector and Kansas City's healthcare IT space, helping you focus your applications where sponsorship is genuinely available.
Are there any state-specific considerations for technical architects pursuing sponsorship in Missouri?
Missouri does not impose state-level restrictions on H-1B or other federal work visa categories, so sponsorship follows standard federal rules. Employers must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the technical architect role in the specific metropolitan area, which differs between St. Louis and Kansas City. Missouri's university system, including Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Missouri, generates a pipeline of international graduates who often pursue sponsorship for technical roles regionally.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical architect jobs in Missouri?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
