Job title: Business Development Representative

Compensation: $19.27 / hour + weekly and monthly bonuses (OTE $60k-$70k)

The job:

As a Business Development Representative at Buildertrend, you’ll help builders discover a better way to manage their businesses and build more efficiently. You’ll be the first point of contact for potential customers, helping them understand how Buildertrend can bring their projects, teams and financials into one place. Your work turns curiosity into action by helping builders see how our platform can bring order to chaos and give them back control of their time. You're not just generating leads—you’re laying the foundation for growth, both for our customers and for your own sales career. Within six months, you’ll have built a track record of helping dozens of builders take their first steps toward smarter, more streamlined operations.

What you will do:

• Prospect, educate and qualify leads to create sales-ready opportunities.
• Connect with prospective customers through calls and other outreach to understand their business needs and goals.
• Schedule product demos between potential customers and Sales Executives on your team.
• Meet or exceed performance goals for calls, meetings and qualified opportunities.
• Refine messaging and outreach based on customer needs and market insights.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to execute lead generation campaigns and maximize opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and workflows in Salesforce and other systems.
• Embrace using AI as a tool to enhance your work, while remaining open to learning, applying critical thinking, and owning the quality of your final work.

Who you are and what you need:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of sales or lead generation experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems.
• Creative, resourceful approach to understanding prospect needs and developing effective outreach.
• Energetic, curious, and motivated to exceed goals.
