- Practice Building: Serve as the TMT Program Management Director, evolving the practice from a US-focused strategy into a "global powerhouse."
- Operational Excellence: Implement and refine standardized processes, systems, and metrics to ensure HDR’s "gold standard" of delivery across technical, financial, and commercial aspects.
Program Oversight & Client Solutions
- Trusted Advisor: Partner with hyperscale and developer clients to deliver custom frameworks for complex datacenter portfolios, maintaining a deep understanding of their evolving business environments.
- Project Controls: Establish core activities including sophisticated project controls, master scheduling, and commercial risk management.
- High-Level Oversight: Provide oversight on large programs, occasionally acting as the Lead or Principal-in-Charge for strategic pursuits.
Business Development & Collaboration
- Strategic Pursuits: Work closely with Account Leaders and Sector Directors to identify and win new program management work, leveraging HDR’s expertise as a key market differentiator.
- Matrix Leadership: Navigate HDR’s matrix by collaborating effectively with Market Sector Directors, Regional Business Group Directors, and Operations.
- Mentorship: Actively mentor staff in Program Management and supporting Business Classes (Project Controls, Procurement, etc.).
- Staffing Management: Coordinate staffing on relevant TMT programs and manage staff augmentation strategies to ensure the right expertise is deployed for success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 20+ years of experience in program management or A/E consulting, with a strong background in leading large-scale TMT or tech-related projects.
- Sector Expertise: Must have specific experience with datacenters and/or relatable hyperscale tech clients.
- Leadership: Proven track record of building and managing professional teams, mentoring staff, and driving successful project execution metrics.
- Business Development: Demonstrated success in sales, presentations, and negotiating commercial terms while mitigating risk.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and writing skills to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Travel: Ability to travel significantly (frequently 25–50%) to support program assignments and client needs.
- Professional registration (PE, RA, PMP, or equivalent).
- Experience in global practice scaling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

Which companies sponsor visas for lead management roles in Nebraska?
Mutual of Omaha, Nelnet, and Union Pacific are among the larger Nebraska employers that have sponsored work visas for business and sales operations professionals. Healthcare systems like CHI Health and technology-adjacent firms in Omaha's growing financial technology sector also appear in Department of Labor sponsorship records for management and business development roles.
Which visa types are most common for lead management roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for lead management positions, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as marketing, business administration, or information systems. The O-1A is an option for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement. TN visa status covers Canadian and Mexican nationals in certain qualifying business or marketing roles under USMCA.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most lead management sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the majority of lead management sponsorship activity in Nebraska, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and logistics companies. Lincoln also has a presence through state government contractors, university-affiliated organizations, and technology firms. Smaller markets like Bellevue occasionally offer roles through defense and government contracting employers.
How to find lead management visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship, making it a practical starting point for lead management candidates targeting Nebraska. You can search by role type and state to surface relevant openings at Omaha-area financial services firms, healthcare companies, and technology employers that support H-1B and other work visa categories.
Are there state-specific considerations for lead management visa sponsorship in Nebraska?
Nebraska does not have state-level visa programs, so sponsorship follows federal H-1B and PERM processes. Employers must file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor certifying the role meets prevailing wage requirements for the Omaha or Lincoln metropolitan area. Lead management roles often need clear documentation of a specialty occupation requirement, meaning the job description should specify a degree in a relevant discipline rather than accepting any field.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored lead management jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
