Search Service & Sales Representative Jobs in NebraskaService & Sales Representative Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for service and sales representatives in Nebraska?
Omaha-based employers are the most active sponsors for service and sales representative roles in Nebraska. Companies like Mutual of Omaha, Fiserv, TD Ameritrade (now part of Charles Schwab), and Union Pacific have filed for work visas for roles in client services and account management. Agricultural equipment and logistics firms in Lincoln and Grand Island also hire internationally for sales-facing positions.
Which visa types are most common for service and sales representative roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for service and sales representative roles when the position requires a related bachelor's degree, such as business administration, marketing, or finance. Some roles may qualify under the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, particularly in business services. L-1 visa transfers are also possible for candidates moving from a foreign affiliated office of a Nebraska-based employer.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most service and sales representative sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the majority of visa-sponsored service and sales representative roles in Nebraska, driven by its concentration of insurance, financial services, and technology employers. Lincoln follows, supported by state government contractors, healthcare organizations, and university-adjacent businesses. Grand Island sees demand from agricultural and manufacturing sectors. Smaller markets like Kearney occasionally post sponsored roles tied to regional corporate offices.
How to find service & sales representative visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse service and sales representative openings in Nebraska without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant opportunities from Nebraska employers across Omaha, Lincoln, and beyond. This saves significant time compared to manually reviewing employer career pages for sponsorship language.
Are there state-specific considerations for service and sales representative visa sponsorship in Nebraska?
Nebraska employers sponsoring H-1B workers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific occupation and geographic area, which are benchmarked to the Omaha or Lincoln metropolitan statistical areas depending on the job location. Service and sales representative roles that involve general sales without a degree requirement may not qualify as specialty occupations, so the specific duties and educational requirements of the role matter significantly for H-1B eligibility.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service & sales representative jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
