Search Service & Sales Representative Jobs in TexasService & Sales Representative Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for service and sales representatives in Texas?
Large Texas-based employers with established immigration programs include AT&T and its subsidiaries in Dallas, Dell Technologies in Round Rock, and energy firms like Schlumberger and Halliburton in Houston. National companies with significant Texas operations, including Oracle, Salesforce, and SAP America, have also filed H-1B visa petitions for sales-related roles. Sponsorship is more common at enterprise-level companies than at smaller regional businesses.
Which visa types are most common for service and sales representative roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for service and sales representatives in Texas when the role qualifies as a specialty occupation, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field like business, marketing, or a technical discipline directly tied to the product being sold. The L-1B intracompany transferee visa is another pathway for candidates already employed by a multinational with a Texas office, particularly in B2B technology and enterprise software sales.
Which cities in Texas have the most service and sales representative sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads the state for sponsorship volume, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and telecommunications companies. Austin follows closely, with its growing technology sector generating demand for software and SaaS sales roles. Houston is the primary market for energy and industrial sales positions. San Antonio has a smaller but active market, particularly in cybersecurity and financial services sales.
How to find service & sales representative visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse service and sales representative openings in Texas without sorting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. The platform is particularly useful for narrowing by city, such as Dallas, Austin, or Houston, where sponsorship activity is highest. Searching by employer type, such as enterprise technology or energy companies, can also surface the strongest candidates for sponsorship in Texas.
Are there state-specific considerations for service and sales representative visa sponsorship in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since the Department of Labor's wage determinations are based on the metropolitan statistical area. Employers in the Dallas and Houston metro areas typically file at higher wage levels than those in smaller markets. Texas also has a large university pipeline, with schools like UT Austin and Texas A&M producing business graduates that employers recruit internationally, sometimes continuing sponsorship after OPT ends.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service & sales representative jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
