Which companies sponsor visas for service & sales representatives in Ohio?
Ohio employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories in service and sales functions include Nationwide Insurance, Progressive Corporation, and Cardinal Health, all headquartered in the state. Major technology and healthcare firms with Ohio offices, including Oracle and Anthem, have also filed Labor Condition Applications for related roles. Sponsorship depends heavily on whether the specific position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards.
Which visa types are most common for service & sales representative roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for service and sales representatives in Ohio when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as business, engineering, or information technology. The L-1B intracompany transfer visa is another pathway for candidates moving within a multinational employer to an Ohio office. TN visa status applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business or sales occupations listed under USMCA.
How to find service & sales representative visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate lets you filter service and sales representative jobs specifically by visa sponsorship availability and state, making it straightforward to identify Ohio-based employers who have sponsored international candidates before. Because sponsorship willingness varies widely by company and role type, filtering for verified sponsoring employers in Ohio saves significant time compared to applying broadly and asking about sponsorship later in the process.
Which cities in Ohio have the most service & sales representative sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads Ohio for service and sales representative sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of insurance, fintech, and healthcare headquarters. Cleveland is a secondary hub, particularly for roles tied to manufacturing sales and medical device companies. Cincinnati's employer base, which includes large consumer goods and logistics firms, also generates sponsorship-eligible positions, particularly for candidates with technical or analytical sales backgrounds.
Are there state-specific considerations for service & sales representative visa sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio service and sales roles sponsored under the H-1B must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the specific metropolitan area, which differ between Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. Employers headquartered in Ohio's insurance corridor around Columbus often have established immigration infrastructure, which can streamline the petition process. Candidates should confirm that their target role is classified as a specialty occupation, since general sales positions without a degree requirement are frequently denied.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service & sales representative jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
