Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy — verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. The mission is big, the problems are complex, and the impact is felt by businesses, governments, and millions of people every day.

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior SDET to support the next evolution of quality engineering by combining automated functional validation, production health monitoring, and AI-driven failure analysis.
This role is focused on ensuring that our Disaster Recovery (DR) and production environments are not only available, but fully functional, continuously validated, and increasingly capable of self-diagnosis. The ideal candidate will bring strong automation skills, systems thinking, and a passion for improving reliability across complex distributed systems.
Job Overview
As a Senior SDET, you will design and build automated quality and validation systems that strengthen confidence in both production and disaster recovery readiness. You will partner closely with QA, SRE, and Engineering teams to validate critical business workflows, improve observability, reduce alert noise, and accelerate incident detection and resolution.
This role sits at the intersection of test automation, production reliability, and intelligent diagnostics, helping advance Socure’s shift from traditional QA practices toward more autonomous, resilient quality systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated functional health checks for DR and production environments using synthetic transactions and API validation.
- Build continuous validation pipelines that verify end-to-end business workflows such as authentication, transactions, and system integrations.
- Develop intelligent alerting mechanisms based on functional failures and customer-impacting behavior, not solely infrastructure metrics.
- Integrate observability signals including logs, metrics, and traces with automated test frameworks to improve system visibility and diagnosis.
- Develop AI/ML-driven approaches to detect failure patterns, correlate issues across services, and identify probable root causes.
- Build systems that recommend or trigger automated remediation actions to support early-stage self-healing capabilities.
- Partner cross-functionally with QA, SRE, and Engineering teams to improve service reliability, incident response, and recovery readiness.
- Define, measure, and report on functional SLAs, service health indicators, and quality metrics.
- Contribute to disaster recovery drills, readiness exercises, and automated validation efforts that improve resilience over time.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation, SDET, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks, including tools such as Playwright, Jest, SuperTest, and REST API testing frameworks.
- Experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch, Splunk, or similar tools.
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Python, Java, or similar languages.
- Experience designing end-to-end test strategies for distributed systems and production-like environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze failures across application, infrastructure, and workflow layers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with synthetic monitoring, production validation, or proactive health-checking systems.
- Exposure to AI/ML techniques for anomaly detection, log analysis, or failure correlation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and validation gates.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, distributed system failure modes, and incident management practices.
- Familiarity with SRE concepts such as SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, or production-readiness practices.
Socure is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity in all its forms within our company. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
If you need an accommodation during any stage of the application or hiring process—including interview or onboarding support—please reach out to your Socure recruiting partner directly.

Which companies sponsor visas for software quality assurance roles in Nevada?
Gaming technology firms are among the most active sponsors in Nevada, including Aristocrat Technologies and Everi, both headquartered in the Las Vegas area. Switch, a data center and cloud infrastructure company based in Las Vegas, and fintech employers in the Reno corridor also have histories of H-1B sponsorship for QA and software testing roles. Larger national employers with Nevada offices, such as Amazon Web Services and Conduent, have also sponsored QA positions in the state.
Which visa types are most common for software quality assurance roles in Nevada?
The H-1B visa is the most common pathway for software quality assurance engineers in Nevada, as QA roles requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field generally qualify as specialty occupations. Canadian and Mexican citizens may qualify for TN visa status under the USMCA treaty in computer-related occupations. Australian citizens can explore the E-3 visa. OPT and STEM OPT are also frequently used by recent graduates working in Nevada QA roles before an employer files an H-1B petition.
Which cities in Nevada have the most software quality assurance sponsorship jobs?
Las Vegas accounts for the majority of software quality assurance sponsorship activity in Nevada, driven by its concentration of gaming technology, hospitality software, and fintech companies. Reno is the second most active market, with a growing tech presence anchored by Tesla's Gigafactory supply chain ecosystem, data centers, and companies that relocated from California. Henderson and North Las Vegas also have employer presence through logistics technology and defense contractors.
How to find software quality assurance visa sponsorship jobs in Nevada?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, and you can filter listings by role and state to surface software quality assurance positions in Nevada. The platform surfaces employers with documented sponsorship histories, which saves significant time compared to manually screening generic job postings. Focusing your search on gaming tech, cloud infrastructure, and fintech employers in the Las Vegas and Reno areas will give you the strongest results for QA and SDET roles in the state.
Are there any Nevada-specific considerations for software quality assurance candidates seeking visa sponsorship?
Nevada has no state income tax, which affects how prevailing wage levels are set and negotiated relative to neighboring states like California. Employers filing H-1B petitions must pay the prevailing wage for the specific QA job title and geographic area as determined by Department of Labor data, so Las Vegas and Reno wages are benchmarked separately. Nevada lacks a major research university pipeline comparable to California schools, so companies recruiting QA talent internationally often look outside the state, making international candidates a practical fit for employers who are already accustomed to sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software quality assurance jobs in Nevada?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
