Which companies sponsor visas for cloud data engineers in New Hampshire?
BAE Systems in Nashua is among the more active sponsors in the state, particularly for engineering and data roles tied to defense and technology contracts. Fidelity Investments, Oracle, and various cloud consulting firms with New Hampshire offices have also filed H-1B visa petitions for data engineering positions. Smaller SaaS companies in the Manchester corridor increasingly appear in DOL disclosure data as sponsors for cloud-focused roles.
Which visa types are most common for cloud data engineer roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for cloud data engineers in New Hampshire, as these roles consistently meet the specialty occupation standard given their requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1B status through multinational employers and those on OPT or STEM OPT extension also represent a meaningful share of the sponsored workforce in this role category.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most cloud data engineer sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the large majority of cloud data engineer sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Nashua's proximity to the Massachusetts border and its concentration of defense contractors and tech firms drives significant demand. Manchester, as the state's largest city, hosts a growing technology sector supported by co-working hubs and mid-size employers. Bedford and Portsmouth see smaller but consistent hiring activity for cloud engineering talent.
How to find cloud data engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and filters cloud data engineer roles by location, including New Hampshire. Rather than sorting through general job boards that rarely flag sponsorship availability, Migrate Mate surfaces positions from employers with documented sponsorship history. Filtering by New Hampshire on Migrate Mate lets you focus on companies in the Manchester and Nashua corridors that have actively filed for cloud and data engineering roles.
Are there any state-specific considerations for cloud data engineers pursuing sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax on wages, which is a notable financial consideration when comparing offers across New England. For H-1B candidates, employers must still meet DOL prevailing wage requirements based on the specific job location, so the relevant wage benchmarks are set at the federal level using New Hampshire metropolitan area data. The University of New Hampshire and Southern New Hampshire University produce local computer science graduates, but demand for experienced cloud data engineers consistently outpaces local supply, sustaining employer willingness to sponsor.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud data engineer jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
