Which companies sponsor visas for food service managers in New Hampshire?
Contract food service companies operating in New Hampshire, including Sodexo, Aramark, and Compass Group, have a documented history of H-1B visa sponsorship for management roles across the country and maintain operations in the state at hospitals, universities, and corporate facilities. Larger hotel groups and resort operators in the Lakes Region and Seacoast area also appear in federal LCA disclosure data as sponsors for food service management positions.
Which visa types are most common for food service manager roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B visa is the most commonly used pathway for food service managers, though it requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning the position typically must require a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as hospitality management or food service administration. The H-2B visa covers temporary non-agricultural workers but applies to lower-level seasonal positions, not management. Candidates with prior H-1B approvals in similar roles have a stronger foundation for sponsorship.
How to find food service manager visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find food service manager visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire. The platform filters job listings specifically to roles where employers have indicated sponsorship openness, saving you from applying to postings that will never support a visa. Searching within Migrate Mate for New Hampshire food service manager roles surfaces positions at contract dining operators, hospitality groups, and institutional employers across the state.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most food service manager sponsorship jobs?
Manchester is New Hampshire's largest city and the most active market for food service manager roles, with hospital systems, corporate campuses, and contract dining operations all concentrated there. Portsmouth supports a strong independent restaurant and hospitality sector along the Seacoast. Concord, as the state capital, has institutional food service operations tied to government buildings and healthcare. Resort areas around Laconia and the Lakes Region see increased demand seasonally.
Are there any New Hampshire-specific considerations for food service manager visa sponsorship?
New Hampshire does not have a state income tax on wages, which can affect how employers calculate and document prevailing wage compliance for H-1B Labor Condition Applications, since total compensation structures may differ from neighboring states. The state's hospitality industry is seasonally driven, particularly in the White Mountains and Lakes Region, so sponsoring employers in those areas tend to be larger institutional operators rather than seasonal businesses, which are less likely to support multi-year visa commitments.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored food service manager jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
