Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Logistics & Assembly Technician to join our operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the production of WMS's industrial furniture and modular workstation products; assembling components such as slides, bases, levelers, and tops, and ensuring finished products are packaged and shipped to the precise standards our customers expect. This is a hands-on production role that spans the full cycle: from receiving and inspecting incoming materials, to assembly on the floor, to final packaging and shipping. You will work from blueprints, schematics, and CAD-based work instructions, and support inventory accuracy through ERP system (MAX) documentation. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, operates with a sense of urgency, and holds themselves to the same high standard we hold our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Assembly: Use power tools and hand tools to assemble components of industrial furniture products — including attaching slides, bases, levelers, and tops — according to work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
- Finishing & Packaging: Package completed assemblies using provided packing materials, ensuring products are protected and prepared for shipment to exact customer specifications.
- Material Receiving & Inspection: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming engineering materials and components against purchase orders (POs); identify and escalate any discrepancies.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect parts and finished assemblies for defects and conformance to quality standards; perform rework or adjustments as needed before products advance.
- Inventory & Logistics: Perform inventory counts, support Kanban replenishment, and manage parts stock between assembly lines to keep production moving without interruption.
- ERP Documentation: Maintain accurate transactional records in MAX (ERP), process shipping labels, and update asset databases to ensure inventory integrity.
- Warehouse Operations: Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts for inbound and outbound shipping and receiving.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow assemblers, engineering, and production teams to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery on every order.
Minimum Qualifications
- Tool Proficiency: Demonstrated experience using power tools and hand tools for assembly tasks in a production environment.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and CAD-based work instructions.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of assembly procedures; ability to troubleshoot issues and identify material discrepancies.
- Detail Orientation: Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently — errors at this stage affect the customer.
- Systems Experience: Familiarity with ERP or WMS inventory tracking systems; experience with MAX is a plus.
- Prior Experience: Previous work in a warehouse, manufacturing, or assembly setting is beneficial; 1–3 years preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, trade certification, or military mechanical experience preferred.
Core Competencies
- People: We respect and support every member of our team. A collaborative, inclusive environment is the foundation everything else is built on.
- Safety: Proactively fosters a culture of safety on the production floor. Understands and follows all PPE requirements and safe operating procedures without exception — safety is never a shortcut.
- Quality: Takes pride in the craftsmanship of every product. Inspects work at each stage, holds the line on standards, and understands that quality built here is quality delivered to the customer.
- Accountability: Holds self and others to the highest standards. Takes ownership of work quality from the receiving dock to the shipping door and follows through on commitments.

Which companies sponsor visas for logistics roles in New Hampshire?
Established manufacturers and defense contractors with significant New Hampshire operations, including BAE Systems and Lonza, have sponsored work visas for supply chain and logistics professionals. Large third-party logistics providers and distribution companies operating near the Nashua and Manchester corridors also have documented sponsorship histories. Sponsorship decisions depend on the specific role, the candidate's qualifications, and the employer's hiring capacity at any given time.
Which visa types are most common for logistics roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa for logistics professionals in roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in supply chain management, operations research, or a related field. Positions like supply chain analyst, logistics engineer, and procurement manager typically qualify as specialty occupations. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also be eligible for TN status under the USMCA, which covers certain management and engineering classifications.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most logistics sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the largest share of logistics hiring in New Hampshire, driven by their proximity to major interstate routes and concentration of manufacturing and distribution facilities. Portsmouth sees activity linked to its port access and defense contracting presence. Concord, as the state capital, has some supply chain roles tied to government procurement and healthcare distribution operations in the region.
How to find logistics visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters logistics job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, letting you browse roles in New Hampshire without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can search by job function, such as supply chain analyst or logistics coordinator, and filter to New Hampshire to see which employers are actively hiring. Migrate Mate also provides context on sponsorship patterns by employer and role type.
Are there any state-specific considerations for logistics visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which affects overall compensation benchmarking for prevailing wage purposes under H-1B requirements. The state's relatively small labor market means logistics roles with sponsorship are concentrated among a narrower set of large employers compared to neighboring Massachusetts. Candidates targeting New Hampshire should focus on manufacturers, defense contractors, and regional distribution hubs where international hiring is more established.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored logistics jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
