Which companies sponsor visas for nurse practitioners in New Hampshire?
Dartmouth Health (including Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon), Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, Elliot Health System, Concord Hospital, and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital are among the larger New Hampshire employers with established international hiring infrastructure. Federally Qualified Health Centers operating in underserved areas of the state also sponsor nurse practitioners, often pairing sponsorship with National Health Service Corps loan repayment eligibility.
Which visa types are most common for nurse practitioner roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for nurse practitioners in New Hampshire, as NP roles typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring a graduate-level degree. The EB-3 employment-based green card is a frequent immigrant pathway, and some employers pursue TN status for Canadian-licensed NPs. VisaScreen certification from CGFNS is a required credential verification step for internationally trained nurses regardless of visa category.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most nurse practitioner sponsorship jobs?
Manchester is the largest hiring market given its concentration of major health systems and specialty clinics. Concord, as the state capital, has consistent NP demand across state-affiliated health facilities and private practices. Lebanon anchors the Upper Valley region through Dartmouth Health's academic medical complex. Nashua and Portsmouth also have active NP hiring, particularly in primary care and urgent care settings serving southern New Hampshire's growing population.
How to find nurse practitioner visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find nurse practitioner visa sponsorship jobs filtered specifically to New Hampshire. The platform surfaces roles from employers who are actively open to sponsoring work visas, saving you the step of screening out positions that won't consider international candidates. You can search by role and state, making it straightforward to identify which New Hampshire health systems and clinics are currently hiring NPs with sponsorship available.
Are there state-specific considerations for nurse practitioners seeking sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire grants full practice authority to nurse practitioners, meaning NPs can practice independently without a physician collaboration agreement. This makes NP roles particularly attractive to employers and may strengthen a sponsorship case by demonstrating the role's distinct professional requirements. Employers in Health Professional Shortage Areas across rural New Hampshire may also qualify for certain federal support programs, which can influence their willingness and capacity to pursue visa sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored nurse practitioner jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
