Which companies sponsor visas for software qa engineers in New Hampshire?
Defense and technology contractors are the most active sponsors in New Hampshire. BAE Systems, Segue Technologies, and various aerospace engineering firms based in Manchester and Nashua have filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications for software quality assurance roles. Larger employers with national engineering footprints, including Oracle and Fidelity Investments, also maintain New Hampshire offices that periodically sponsor QA engineers.
Which visa types are most common for software qa engineer roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the primary visa category for software QA engineers in New Hampshire, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Australian citizens may also qualify through the E-3 visa. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT through nearby institutions sometimes transition to H-1B sponsorship with New Hampshire employers.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most software qa engineer sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua together account for the majority of software QA engineering sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Nashua's tech corridor along the Massachusetts border attracts companies that operate across both states, while Manchester functions as the state's commercial hub with a growing base of software and defense firms. Concord and Portsmouth have a smaller but present share of technology employer presence.
How to find software qa engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify New Hampshire employers actively hiring software QA engineers who require H-1B or other work visa support. Rather than sorting through general job boards, you can search Migrate Mate for QA engineer roles in New Hampshire and filter to confirmed sponsoring employers, saving significant time in your job search.
Are there state-specific factors that affect software qa engineer visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which influences employer compensation structuring and can make prevailing wage compliance relatively straightforward for DOL Labor Condition Applications. The state's proximity to Boston means some employers are headquartered in Massachusetts but sponsor workers at New Hampshire offices, so the LCA worksite address matters for prevailing wage determinations. Defense-sector roles may also carry security clearance requirements that can complicate international hiring.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software qa engineer jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
