Which companies sponsor visas for solution engineers in New Hampshire?
Enterprise technology vendors and financial services firms are the most active sponsors for solution engineer roles in New Hampshire. Companies such as Oracle, Fidelity Investments, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and BAE Systems have filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for technical client-facing roles in the state. Larger organizations with established immigration programs are generally more consistent sponsors than early-stage startups.
Which visa types are most common for solution engineer roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for solution engineers in New Hampshire, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding L-1B intracompany transferee status or O-1 classification for extraordinary ability may also work in solution engineering roles. Australians may pursue the E-3 visa as an alternative to the H-1B.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most solution engineer sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the majority of solution engineer sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Nashua sits close to the Massachusetts border and benefits from proximity to the Greater Boston technology corridor, attracting software and defense technology employers. Manchester, as the state's largest city, hosts regional offices for financial services and IT services firms that periodically hire sponsored solution engineers.
How to find solution engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for solution engineer roles in New Hampshire without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform surfaces roles from employers with documented sponsorship histories. Focusing your search on Nashua and Manchester, where technology and financial services employers are concentrated, will return the most relevant results for this role type.
Are there state-specific considerations for solution engineers seeking sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which can make compensation packages more attractive relative to neighboring Massachusetts even when base salaries are comparable. Solution engineers are typically classified under SOC codes for software developers or sales engineers for prevailing wage purposes, and employers must pay at least the DOL-determined prevailing wage for the relevant location when filing an H-1B Labor Condition Application. The University of New Hampshire also provides a modest pipeline of technical graduates into regional employer networks.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solution engineer jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
