- Drive Agile delivery with engineering and platform teams to ship high-value data capabilities on time and at quality.
- Lead build-vs.-configure-vs.-buy decisions, weighing extensibility, integration feasibility, and total cost of ownership.
- Ensure compliance for regulated solutions, including GxP validation strategy, data integrity, quality planning, and change control.
- Establish performance and value frameworks—KPIs, adoption metrics, and executive-level reporting.
- Influence complex regulatory, business, and technical issues and represent solution management in governance forums.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.

- Experience leveraging AI in day-to-day delivery, including evaluating and applying AI/ML and agentic capabilities.
- Experience in enterprise data platforms and integration technologies, including hands-on configuration and the ability to guide engineering teams.
- Experience defining and executing vendor strategy, including make-vs.-buy and ongoing governance.

Which companies sponsor visas for solution engineers in Indiana?
Salesforce, Cummins, Eli Lilly, and Genesys have all filed Labor Condition Applications for solution engineer and related pre-sales technical roles in Indiana. Larger enterprise software companies with Indianapolis offices tend to have established immigration programs and are more likely to support H-1B visa or other work visa petitions than smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for solution engineers in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solution engineers in Indiana, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field. Australian nationals may also qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadians and Mexicans may be eligible under the TN visa category, which can be faster to obtain than H-1B.
Which cities in Indiana have the most solution engineer sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the large majority of solution engineer sponsorship activity in Indiana, given its concentration of corporate headquarters, regional offices, and technology employers. Carmel and Fishers, both suburbs of Indianapolis, also have a growing presence of software and SaaS companies that hire for technical pre-sales roles. Fort Wayne and Bloomington see occasional openings, particularly tied to manufacturing technology and university-adjacent software firms.
How to find solution engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship roles in the United States, including solution engineer positions in Indiana. You can filter by state and role to see current sponsorship-eligible openings, review which Indiana employers have a history of filing for work visas, and avoid wasting time on listings that do not support international candidates.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for solution engineers seeking sponsorship?
Indiana's strong manufacturing and life sciences sectors mean solution engineer roles here often require domain knowledge in industrial software, ERP systems, or regulated environments, which can strengthen a specialty occupation argument for H-1B purposes. Purdue University and Indiana University produce a steady pipeline of technical talent, and some employers in the state have existing relationships with immigration counsel, making sponsorship more straightforward for well-matched candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solution engineer jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
