Which companies in Georgia sponsor visas for solution engineers?
Atlanta-headquartered companies like NCR Voyix, Global Payments, and Cox Enterprises have active H-1B visa sponsorship histories for technical pre-sales and solution engineering roles. Large technology employers with significant Atlanta presences, including Salesforce, Microsoft, and IBM, also sponsor solution engineers in Georgia. Consulting firms such as Deloitte and Accenture, which maintain major delivery centers in Atlanta, are additional sponsors worth targeting.
What visa types are most common for solution engineer roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solution engineers in Georgia, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and qualifies as a specialty occupation. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role maps cleanly to an eligible USMCA occupation category. Australians may qualify for the E-3 visa. L-1B transfers apply when moving within a multinational employer.
Which cities in Georgia have the most solution engineer sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the overwhelming majority of solution engineer sponsorship opportunities in Georgia. Midtown and Buckhead host numerous technology company offices and financial services firms that hire for these roles. Alpharetta, north of Atlanta, is a recognized technology corridor with a concentration of enterprise software and cybersecurity companies, including NCR and many regional headquarters, that regularly post solution engineer openings with sponsorship.
How to find solution engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse solution engineer roles in Georgia without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by role type and state to surface relevant openings from employers in Atlanta, Alpharetta, and other Georgia markets. Focusing on enterprise software, fintech, and cybersecurity companies in the Atlanta metro will return the most relevant results.
Are there any Georgia-specific factors that affect solution engineer visa sponsorship?
Georgia's strong presence in fintech, driven by the concentration of payment processing companies around Atlanta, means solution engineers with financial technology or data platform experience are particularly competitive for sponsored roles. Georgia Tech produces a significant pipeline of engineering talent, and employers in the region are accustomed to sponsoring international graduates. The Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements apply statewide, and employers must certify that the offered role meets wage levels for the Atlanta or Alpharetta metropolitan area, depending on the work location.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solution engineer jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
