Which companies sponsor visas for system administrators in New Hampshire?
Healthcare organizations and defense contractors are among the most active sponsors in New Hampshire. Dartmouth Health, Elliot Health System, and BAE Systems have filed Labor Condition Applications for IT infrastructure roles. Insurance and financial services firms with NH operations, including Liberty Mutual's regional offices, also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data for system administrator and related IT positions.
Which visa types are most common for system administrator roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for system administrator roles in New Hampshire, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals under NAFTA-successor provisions if the role meets the qualifying computer systems analyst criteria. Some candidates with advanced profiles pursue O-1 classification.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most system administrator sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the largest share of system administrator sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Manchester is home to the state's largest hospital networks and several technology firms. Nashua, situated on the Massachusetts border, hosts defense contractors and software companies. Concord, as the state capital, has government-adjacent IT roles, though sponsorship activity there is more limited than in the southern corridor.
How to find system administrator visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can search for system administrator roles in New Hampshire without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform surfaces openings from employers in Manchester, Nashua, and surrounding areas who have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for IT infrastructure candidates, saving significant research time.
Are there any state-specific considerations for system administrator sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax on wages, which affects the prevailing wage calculations employers submit in Labor Condition Applications, since cost-of-living context differs from neighboring Massachusetts. The University of New Hampshire and Southern New Hampshire University produce IT graduates but have smaller international enrollment pipelines than major research universities, meaning most sponsored system administrator candidates arrive through employer transfers or direct recruitment rather than OPT pathways.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored system administrator jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
