Which companies sponsor visas for technical project managers in New Hampshire?
BAE Systems, with a significant presence in Nashua, has a history of sponsoring technical roles including project management positions tied to defense and aerospace programs. Ellucian, which develops software for higher education institutions, and Oracle's New Hampshire operations have also filed Labor Condition Applications for technical project managers. Smaller technology firms along the Route 3 and Route 101 corridors periodically sponsor as well.
Which visa types are most common for technical project manager roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technical project managers in New Hampshire, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, or information systems. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also be eligible for the TN visa under the USMCA, which covers computer systems analysts and engineers, roles that sometimes encompass technical project management functions.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most technical project manager sponsorship jobs?
Nashua and Manchester together account for the majority of technical project manager sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Nashua benefits from its proximity to Boston and hosts defense contractors and technology firms. Manchester, the state's largest city, has a growing technology sector supported by its airport and business infrastructure. Bedford and Portsmouth also have employer clusters worth monitoring, particularly in healthcare technology and financial services.
How to find technical project manager visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find technical project manager roles in New Hampshire without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by state and role type to see which New Hampshire employers are actively hiring. Because sponsorship availability changes frequently, checking Migrate Mate regularly gives you the most current view of the market.
Are there state-specific considerations for technical project managers seeking sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire's proximity to the Boston technology market means many employers draw from both labor markets, and prevailing wage determinations for technical project managers in southern New Hampshire can reflect rates closer to northeastern Massachusetts levels. The University of New Hampshire and Southern New Hampshire University produce local talent pipelines, but employers in defense and enterprise software regularly look beyond the region. Positions tied to defense contracts may also require security clearance eligibility, which affects the candidate pool and sponsorship decisions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical project manager jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
