Which companies sponsor visas for engineering program managers in New Jersey?
Large employers with established sponsorship track records in New Jersey include Johnson & Johnson, Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services, Nokia, and Siemens. Defense contractors and pharmaceutical firms along the Route 1 corridor also regularly file H-1B petitions for engineering program manager roles. DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data is a reliable way to verify which specific employers have sponsored this role recently.
Which visa types are most common for engineering program manager roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for engineering program managers in New Jersey, as the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. L-1A and L-1B visas are also relevant for candidates transferring within multinational companies that have New Jersey operations. O-1 petitions are an option for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most engineering program manager sponsorship jobs?
The heaviest concentration of engineering program manager sponsorship activity is along the Route 1 tech and pharma corridor, particularly in Newark, Iselin, Parsippany, and Princeton. Jersey City also draws significant demand given its proximity to New York City financial and tech employers. Edison and Bridgewater are notable hubs for pharmaceutical and information technology companies that consistently hire international engineers at the program manager level.
How to find engineering program manager visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find engineering program manager roles in New Jersey that are open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters jobs specifically by sponsorship availability, so you are not sifting through listings from employers who do not sponsor. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate surfaces relevant openings from New Jersey's pharma, defense, and technology sectors without requiring you to manually verify each employer's sponsorship history.
Are there state-specific considerations for engineering program managers seeking sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey's strong pharmaceutical, defense, and telecommunications industries create consistent demand for engineering program managers, which supports sponsorship activity across multiple sectors rather than a single niche. The state's proximity to New York City also means some employers operate across both markets, giving candidates more negotiating flexibility. Because New Jersey prevailing wage determinations are set by metropolitan area, salaries in the Newark and Trenton metro areas reflect distinct wage level requirements under Department of Labor guidelines.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored engineering program manager jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
