Which companies sponsor visas for procurement roles in New Jersey?
Large multinationals with significant New Jersey operations are among the most active sponsors for procurement roles. Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Becton Dickinson, Cognizant, and Prudential Financial have all filed Labor Condition Applications for procurement and supply chain positions in the state. Pharmaceutical and life sciences employers in central and northern New Jersey tend to have established immigration programs that include procurement functions.
Which visa types are most common for procurement roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for procurement roles in New Jersey, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as supply chain management, business, or engineering. Some candidates from countries with treaty arrangements may qualify for TN visa (Canada, Mexico) or E-3 visa (Australia) visas. L-1 visa transfers are also possible for procurement professionals moving within a multinational company.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most procurement sponsorship jobs?
Newark, Parsippany, Princeton, and New Brunswick are among the strongest markets for sponsored procurement roles in New Jersey. Newark benefits from its proximity to major logistics infrastructure and corporate headquarters. How to find procurement visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find procurement roles in New Jersey without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. You can search by location and role type to surface sourcing, contracts, and supply chain positions at New Jersey employers actively willing to file for work visas. This saves significant time compared to manually screening general job postings.
Are there any New Jersey-specific considerations for procurement visa sponsorship?
New Jersey's high concentration of pharmaceutical, life sciences, and chemical companies means procurement roles here often require specialized knowledge in regulated supply chains, FDA-compliant sourcing, or GMP environments. Employers in these sectors tend to have well-resourced HR and legal teams familiar with visa sponsorship. The state's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions are generally higher than national averages, reflecting the elevated cost of living in northern and central New Jersey.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored procurement jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
