Which companies sponsor visas for product architects in New Jersey?
New Jersey has a strong base of employers known to sponsor work visas for product architects. Johnson & Johnson, Cognizant, Prudential Financial, Merck, and Conduent all maintain sizable product and engineering teams in the state. Consulting and IT services firms with New Jersey offices, including Infosys and Wipro, also file regularly for product architecture roles given their project-driven hiring needs.
Which visa types are most common for product architect roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for product architects in New Jersey, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Candidates already in the U.S. on L-1A or L-1B visas through multinational employers are also common in this role. The O-1A is an option for architects with documented industry recognition, though it requires substantial evidence.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most product architect sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City leads due to its proximity to Manhattan and its concentration of financial services and fintech employers. Newark is home to growing tech operations and benefits from its major transportation hub status. Parsippany and Bridgewater attract pharmaceutical and life sciences employers, including Bayer and Honeywell, that hire product architects for enterprise software and platform initiatives. Princeton also has a notable cluster tied to its university and biotech community.
How to find product architect visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate lets you filter visa sponsorship jobs specifically for product architect roles in New Jersey, so you're only seeing employers who have a documented history of sponsoring international candidates. Rather than sorting through general job boards where sponsorship status is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces relevant openings with the context international applicants actually need to evaluate an opportunity before applying.
Are there any state-specific considerations for product architects pursuing visa sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey employers filing H-1B petitions must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the specific metro area, which differ between Jersey City, Newark, and Parsippany. The state's density of pharmaceutical, financial services, and enterprise IT employers means product architect roles often intersect with regulated industries, which can affect how job duties are described in the LCA. Rutgers University and NJIT also serve as pipelines for OPT candidates entering this field.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product architect jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
