Search Product Architect Jobs in North CarolinaProduct Architect Jobs in North Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for product architects in North Carolina?
The most active sponsors for product architect roles in North Carolina are concentrated around Research Triangle Park. Companies including Lenovo (North American HQ in Morrisville), Cisco, Red Hat, and SAS Institute have consistent H-1B filing histories for senior technical and product roles. In Charlotte, large financial institutions like Bank of America and Wells Fargo also sponsor product architects, particularly those working at the intersection of technology and financial services.
Which visa types are most common for product architect roles in North Carolina?
The H-1B is by far the most common visa for product architects in North Carolina, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field, qualifying it as a specialty occupation. Some candidates with extraordinary recognition in their field pursue the O-1A. Intracompany transfers to North Carolina offices via the L-1A or L-1B are also documented, particularly at multinational firms based in the Research Triangle.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most product architect sponsorship jobs?
Raleigh and its surrounding Research Triangle Park cities, including Durham, Cary, and Morrisville, account for the largest share of product architect sponsorship activity in North Carolina. The RTP corridor has a dense concentration of technology companies and corporate headquarters. Charlotte is a secondary hub, driven by fintech and enterprise software demand. Smaller markets like Greensboro and Winston-Salem see occasional openings but far fewer sponsored roles.
How to find product architect visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, which removes the guesswork of identifying which North Carolina employers will support H-1B or other work visa petitions for product architect roles. You can search directly for product architect positions filtered to North Carolina and see verified sponsoring employers. This is significantly more targeted than general job searches, where sponsorship status is rarely disclosed upfront in the listing itself.
Are there any North Carolina-specific factors product architects should know about for visa sponsorship?
North Carolina's Research Triangle Park ecosystem includes several universities, particularly NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and Duke, which feed a strong local talent pipeline. Employers familiar with sponsoring international graduates from these schools are generally experienced with H-1B and OPT-to-H-1B transitions. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage determinations for product architect roles in the Raleigh-Durham metropolitan area differ from Charlotte, so the specific job location affects the certified wage level your employer must meet on the Labor Condition Application.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product architect jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
