Which companies sponsor visas for service specialists in New Jersey?
Large employers with established visa sponsorship programs in New Jersey include Cognizant, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Johnson & Johnson, and Prudential Financial. These companies regularly file H-1B petitions for service specialist roles, particularly in IT service management, customer operations, and technical support. Sponsorship tends to be more common at enterprise-scale employers than at smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for service specialist roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for service specialists in New Jersey, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as computer science, information systems, or business administration. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying specialty occupations. Some positions in managed services or consulting may also see L-1 transfers for candidates moving within a multinational company.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most service specialist sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City and Newark see the highest concentration of sponsored service specialist roles, driven by proximity to New York City's financial sector and major corporate headquarters. Parsippany, Florham Park, and Bridgewater in Morris and Somerset counties are also active hiring areas, anchored by pharmaceutical, technology, and professional services firms. Edison functions as a secondary hub, particularly for IT and managed services employers.
How to find service specialist visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters service specialist jobs in New Jersey by visa sponsorship availability, saving you the time of screening out roles that won't support work authorization. You can browse current openings by role and state, see which employers have active sponsorship histories, and focus your applications on companies that have demonstrated a pattern of sponsoring international hires for service-focused positions.
Are there state-specific considerations for service specialists seeking sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey employers filing H-1B petitions for service specialists must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements tied to the specific work location, which vary across the state's different metropolitan areas. New Jersey's concentration of pharmaceutical, financial services, and IT consulting employers means service specialist roles often require demonstrable specialty occupation qualifications. Candidates should ensure their degree and job duties align clearly with the specialty occupation standard before applying.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service specialist jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
