ABOUT THE ROLE
This position will provide a high level of management of employees for the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) Call Center.
This position will oversee the daily operations of the Motor Vehicle Division Call Center. This position will promote exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with all applicable MVD statutes, regulations, policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for:
- Managing call center processes.
- Managing the call answering system Five9 to include routing of calls, creating reports of calls, posting closures, make changes, etc.
- Coordinating staff to provide deliverables to the motoring public.
- Using statistical analysis to identify performance enhancements.
- Working closely with Executive Team on major improvement initiatives.
- Mentoring employees on individual growth and capabilities.
- Improving performance wait times.
This position serves New Mexico citizens, internal customers, additional state agencies, and out of state customers transacting vehicle and drive related business with the New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division.
CUSTOMERS
The position serves the general public and Taxation and Revenue employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent and six (6) years experience in office administration, customer service, and/or records management techniques and procedures. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required experience.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment. Must be current with all tax reporting/payment. Employment is subject to post offer pre-employment criminal background check to include fingerprint checks and is conditional pending results.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage with extended periods of sitting. Some standing, bending and reaching may be required. Must be able to lift 25lbs. Some travel may be required.
