Where We Need You
Protiviti is looking for a Supply Chain & Operations Manager to join our growing Supply Chain & Operations Innovation team.
What You Can Expect
As a Manager, you’ll partner with our clients to solve complex business problems and provide impactful advice and solutions. You’ll develop lasting relationships with client personnel and further these relationships through quality product delivery.
- Lead strategic sourcing and procurement engagements focused on indirect marketing categories — advertising agencies, media buying, paid digital media (search, social, programmatic), and creative services
- Manage end-to-end sourcing cycles: spend analysis, market assessment, RFP/RFQ design, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution
- Oversee Statement of Work (SOW) development, management, and governance for agency and media supplier relationships
- Advise clients on agency compensation models — retainer, project-based, and performance-linked structures — and identify cost optimization opportunities
What Will Help You Be Successful
- You enjoy process, relevant analytics and metrics, organization, and strategic design — particularly within marketing category spend
- You are motivated to learn and are interested in all things related to strategic sourcing and supplier management, including the latest trends in agency relationships, paid media procurement, and marketing technology
- You have an inherent interest in project management and team leadership
- You promote a positive team culture that fosters open communication among all engagement team members
- You create development opportunities for others, including participating in the creation and rollout of training, and ways for your team to improve our clients and communities
- You have interest in participating in the preparation of client proposals and strategies to win new business in the indirect marketing space
- You have interest in working with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries where marketing spend is complex and significant
Do Your Talents Include the Following?
Demonstrated experience with:
- Core supply chain and indirect procurement processes — Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Contract Management, Supplier Management, and Accounts Payable
- Indirect marketing category management — including advertising agencies, media buying firms, paid media platforms (Google, Meta, programmatic), and creative services suppliers
- Managing agency holding company relationships and negotiating high-value contracts including SOWs, retainer agreements, and media authorization structures
- Designing and implementing digital supply chain solutions, applying technologies to drive procurement efficiency
- Traditional technologies that support key supply chain functions — Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Source-to-Pay (S2P), and Third Party Risk Management/Monitoring (TPRM)
- Process improvement, business transformation, and project management methodologies such as Lean, Agile, and Change Management
- Financial modeling, spend benchmarking, and business case management
Additional capabilities:
- Evaluating, summarizing, organizing, and interpreting data — including marketing spend analytics and savings reporting
- Establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network, including with senior marketing and procurement executives
- Ability to translate and communicate complex sourcing and category topics to client personnel, including C-suite stakeholders
- Leadership and direct supervisory experience — conducting performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching, oversight and review of work, and motivating high-performing teams
Your Educational and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations, or Business-related field)
- 5–8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or indirect category management — with a specific focus on marketing services spend
- 4+ years working in Consulting, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field, either in professional services or industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite — with specific emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; secondary emphasis on Visio, Access, and Tableau/Power BI
- Professional certification such as CPM, CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, PMP, Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma, Certified Scrum Professional, or similar is a plus

Which companies sponsor visas for business operations roles in New York?
Large financial institutions and consulting firms are among the most active sponsors for business operations roles in New York. Companies like JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, McKinsey, Deloitte, and Amazon have a well-documented history of filing H-1B petitions for operations professionals. Technology companies with New York offices, including Google and Meta, also sponsor regularly for roles in business operations and strategy.
Which visa types are most common for business operations roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for business operations professionals in New York, as most roles require at least a bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Australian nationals may qualify for the E-3 visa. Candidates with multinational employer backgrounds sometimes qualify for the L-1 visa intracompany transferee visa for managerial or specialized knowledge roles.
Which cities in New York have the most business operations sponsorship jobs?
New York City accounts for the overwhelming majority of business operations visa sponsorship jobs in the state, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, global banks, consulting firms, and media companies. Manhattan is the primary hub, though roles also appear in Brooklyn and Long Island City. Buffalo has a smaller but growing presence, particularly in operations roles tied to healthcare systems and regional financial services firms.
How to find business operations visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and filters business operations roles in New York by employers with a verified sponsorship history. Rather than sorting through thousands of listings manually, you can browse roles where H-1B or other visa support is confirmed from the start. Filtering by New York on Migrate Mate surfaces relevant openings across finance, consulting, and tech operations.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for business operations visa sponsorship?
New York City's high cost of living means prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program tend to be set at elevated levels compared to most other states, which affects the wage floor employers must meet for sponsored roles. The density of large employers in New York also means many companies have established immigration support infrastructure, making the sponsorship process more routine than at smaller regional employers. Operations roles in regulated industries like finance may also involve additional compliance layers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business operations jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
