Which companies sponsor visas for clinical support associates in New York?
Large health systems with established HR and immigration infrastructure are the most consistent sponsors. NYU Langone Health, NewYork-Presbyterian, Northwell Health, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Mount Sinai Health System have all filed Labor Condition Applications for clinical support roles. Pharmaceutical companies with New York operations, including Pfizer and Bristol-Myers Squibb, also sponsor for clinical support positions tied to research and trial coordination functions.
Which visa types are most common for clinical support associate roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for clinical support associates when the role requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as health sciences, biology, or a related discipline, qualifying it as a specialty occupation. Some positions at academic medical centers may also be eligible under J-1 visa exchange visitor programs. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying health-related occupational categories.
Which cities in New York have the most clinical support associate sponsorship jobs?
New York City accounts for the largest share of these positions, driven by the density of academic medical centers, hospitals, and life sciences employers in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. Buffalo and Rochester also have notable concentrations through institutions like University of Rochester Medical Center and Kaleida Health. Long Island's biotech corridor, particularly around Melville and Hauppauge, contributes additional sponsorship opportunities.
How to find clinical support associate visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter clinical support associate roles to New York directly. Rather than sorting through general job postings where sponsorship willingness is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces positions from employers with documented sponsorship activity, saving significant time for candidates on tight visa timelines such as OPT expiration or H-1B cap cycles.
Are there any state-specific considerations for clinical support associates seeking sponsorship in New York?
New York's prevailing wage requirements under Department of Labor guidelines apply to H-1B filings, and wages in the New York City metro area are benchmarked to some of the highest prevailing wage levels nationally, which can work in a candidate's favor when assessing offer competitiveness. New York also has a strong pipeline from institutions like Columbia, Cornell Weill, and SUNY system programs, meaning employers are accustomed to sponsoring internationally educated clinical staff.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored clinical support associate jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
