Which companies sponsor visas for product marketers in New York?
Large technology and platform companies are the most consistent visa sponsors for product marketing roles in New York. Google, Amazon, Meta, Salesforce, Adobe, and Spotify all have established sponsorship programs and active product marketing hiring in New York City. Financial services firms with product divisions, such as Bloomberg and American Express, also sponsor product marketers. Larger organizations tend to have dedicated immigration teams and clearer sponsorship pipelines than early-stage startups.
Which visa types are most common for product marketing roles in New York?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for product marketing professionals in New York, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field and qualifies as a specialty occupation. Candidates from Australia may pursue the E-3 visa, Canadians and Mexicans the TN visa, and those with extraordinary recognition in their field may qualify for the O-1 visa. F-1 graduates can work under OPT while pursuing full H-1B visa sponsorship.
Which cities in New York have the most product marketing sponsorship jobs?
New York City, particularly Manhattan, accounts for the vast majority of product marketing sponsorship opportunities in the state. The Flatiron District, Hudson Yards, and Midtown are dense with tech company offices that hire product marketers. Brooklyn has a growing startup presence, though sponsored roles remain more concentrated in Manhattan. Outside the city, Albany and Buffalo have limited product marketing hiring and sponsorship activity compared to the metro area.
How to find product marketing visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find product marketing roles in New York where employers are open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters specifically for sponsorship-friendly employers, so you're not wading through listings from companies that won't consider international candidates. Focus your search on established tech companies and enterprise software firms with New York offices, as they sponsor more consistently than early-stage companies.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for product marketing sponsorship candidates?
New York City's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B's Labor Condition Application reflect one of the highest costs of living in the country, which means employers must certify competitive compensation aligned with local market rates. New York also has a strong pipeline of product marketing talent from NYU, Columbia, and Cornell, meaning international candidates often compete with local graduates. Demonstrating specialized domain expertise, particularly in fintech, media, or enterprise SaaS, can meaningfully strengthen a sponsorship case.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product marketing jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
