- Support customer-facing governance and delivery oversight for healthcare construction engagements where contractual, operational, and billing processes are tied to construction project frameworks.
- Track project progress against contract milestones, billing events, and approved scope, including coordination with project financial and billing workflows.
- Drive cross-functional planning and facilitate alignment across solution architects, operations, deployment resources, partner teams, and customer representatives.
- Identify delivery risks early and escalate issues impacting schedule, scope, budget, compliance, or execution readiness.
- Ensure strong documentation, meeting cadence, action tracking, and executive-level communication throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Support change management, scope alignment, and coordinated execution as construction and technology requirements evolve over time.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Which companies sponsor visas for construction project engineers in North Carolina?
National contractors with a significant presence in North Carolina, including Skanska, Brasfield and Gorrie, Barnhill Contracting, and Choate Construction, have historically filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications for construction project engineer roles. Large civil and infrastructure firms working on state DOT contracts and private development projects in the Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham markets tend to be the most active sponsors.
Which visa types are most common for construction project engineer roles in North Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for construction project engineers in North Carolina, as the role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or construction engineering. Canadian and Mexican nationals may also be eligible for the TN visa under the engineer category, which does not require a petition and can be processed at the border or a port of entry.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most construction project engineer sponsorship jobs?
Charlotte and Raleigh are the primary markets for construction project engineer sponsorship jobs in North Carolina. Charlotte's sustained commercial and mixed-use development activity and Raleigh-Durham's data center and life sciences construction boom drive consistent demand. Durham, Cary, and Winston-Salem also generate openings, particularly on large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects tied to state and federal investment.
How to find construction project engineer visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters construction project engineer jobs in North Carolina by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from sorting through postings that don't apply to your situation. You can search by role and state to surface active openings from contractors and project management firms that have a documented history of sponsoring construction engineering hires in the region.
Are there any state-specific considerations for construction project engineers seeking visa sponsorship in North Carolina?
North Carolina does not require a state-level Professional Engineer license to work as a construction project engineer, though PE licensure becomes relevant for roles involving design sign-off. Employers filing an H-1B for this role must submit a Labor Condition Application certifying that the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the position in the specific North Carolina metropolitan area, which is determined by Department of Labor wage surveys for that county and occupation code.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored construction project engineer jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
