Which companies sponsor visas for assistant account managers in Ohio?
Insurance and financial services employers are among the most active sponsors in Ohio for assistant account manager roles. Nationwide and Progressive, both headquartered in Columbus, have consistent H-1B visa filing histories. Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati and KeyBank in Cleveland also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data for client services positions. Manufacturing and logistics firms in the Dayton and Toledo areas sponsor at lower but steady rates.
Which visa types are most common for assistant account manager roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa for assistant account manager roles in Ohio, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or communications. Candidates already holding F-1 OPT or STEM OPT authorization can begin working before an H-1B petition is filed. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business categories.
Which cities in Ohio have the most assistant account manager sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads Ohio for assistant account manager sponsorship opportunities, driven by its concentration of insurance, financial services, and tech sector employers. Cleveland follows, with a strong presence of healthcare, manufacturing, and professional services firms. Cincinnati rounds out the top three, anchored by consumer goods, logistics, and banking employers. Smaller markets like Dayton and Akron offer more limited but real sponsorship activity in manufacturing and polymer industries.
How to find assistant account manager visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters assistant account manager roles in Ohio specifically to employers with active visa sponsorship history, saving you from applying to postings that will never lead to a petition. You can search by city, narrowing to Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati depending on your target industry. Pairing Migrate Mate with Department of Labor LCA disclosure data helps verify which Ohio employers have recently sponsored similar roles before you apply.
Are there state-specific factors that affect assistant account manager sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio's mix of Fortune 500 insurance carriers, regional banks, and mid-market manufacturing firms creates a range of sponsorship cultures. Large Columbus-based insurers tend to have established immigration legal teams and predictable processes. Smaller employers across the state may sponsor selectively and often require candidates to demonstrate that the role meets specialty occupation standards, which means having a degree directly tied to the account management function rather than a general business background.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant account manager jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
