Which companies sponsor visas for business operations roles in Ohio?
Large Ohio-headquartered employers with consistent H-1B sponsorship records in business operations include JPMorgan Chase in Columbus, Nationwide Insurance, Cardinal Health, and Huntington Bancshares. Procter and Gamble in Cincinnati and Cleveland Clinic in northeastern Ohio also file regularly for operations-related roles. Sponsorship activity is concentrated at large corporations and major healthcare systems rather than smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for business operations roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for business operations professionals in Ohio, covering roles like operations analyst, business process manager, and supply chain coordinator when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field. L-1B visas apply to intracompany transfers with specialized knowledge. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible under the TN category for qualifying management or analyst roles.
Which cities in Ohio have the most business operations sponsorship jobs?
Columbus accounts for the largest share of business operations sponsorship activity in Ohio, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and technology firms. Cincinnati follows, anchored by Procter and Gamble and a strong consumer goods and logistics sector. Cleveland supports sponsorship primarily through healthcare organizations like Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals, along with financial and manufacturing operations roles.
How to find business operations visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, and you can filter directly for business operations roles in Ohio. The platform surfaces employers with documented sponsorship histories, which saves time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that a company does not sponsor. Focusing your search on Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland will return the highest volume of relevant openings in this role category.
Are there any state-specific considerations for business operations sponsorship candidates in Ohio?
Ohio has a strong university pipeline, with Ohio State University, Case Western Reserve, and the University of Cincinnati producing graduate candidates in business and operations management who compete for the same sponsored roles. Employers must pay the prevailing wage for the specific occupation and location as determined by the Department of Labor, and Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati each have distinct prevailing wage levels. Operations roles tied to healthcare or financial services may involve additional compliance requirements that influence how employers structure sponsored positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business operations jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
