Which companies sponsor visas for product associates in Ohio?
Companies with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for product and product-adjacent roles in Ohio include JPMorgan Chase in Columbus and Cleveland, Nationwide Insurance in Columbus, Procter and Gamble in Cincinnati, and Progressive Insurance in Mayfield Village. Large technology and financial services employers tend to have dedicated immigration programs, making them more predictable sponsors than smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for product associate roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product associate roles in Ohio, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, computer science, or engineering. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization can work for an Ohio employer while the H-1B petition is processed. The O-1 and L-1 are less common but available for candidates meeting specific criteria.
Which cities in Ohio have the most product associate sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is the leading market for product associate sponsorship jobs in Ohio, driven by its concentration of fintech firms, insurance companies, and a growing technology sector anchored by employers near The Ohio State University. Cincinnati ranks second due to its consumer goods and healthcare industry presence. Cleveland offers opportunities through financial services and health-tech companies, particularly around the University Circle corridor.
How to find product associate visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search product associate roles in Ohio without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings from employers with active sponsorship programs in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland. Filtering by role and state on Migrate Mate significantly reduces the time spent screening out non-sponsoring employers.
Are there any Ohio-specific considerations for product associate visa sponsorship?
Ohio employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the specific role and location, which varies between Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. Candidates coming through Ohio State University, Case Western Reserve, or University of Cincinnati pipelines often have existing relationships with local employers, which can streamline the sponsorship conversation. Ohio's relatively lower cost of living compared to coastal markets does not reduce the prevailing wage obligation for sponsors.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product associate jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
