Which companies sponsor visas for product associates in Oregon?
Nike and Adidas, both headquartered in the Portland metro area, have sponsored product-related roles for international workers. Intel's Hillsboro campus is one of Oregon's largest H-1B visa sponsors overall. Beyond those anchor employers, mid-size SaaS and e-commerce companies in Portland have also filed Labor Condition Applications for product associate positions, though sponsorship willingness varies by company size and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for product associate roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product associates in Oregon, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, computer science, or a related discipline. Candidates already on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT can work before H-1B sponsorship begins. The O-1A is an option for candidates with a documented record of achievement in product management or a related area.
How to find product associate visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters product associate roles in Oregon by visa sponsorship history, so you're not sorting through employers unlikely to sponsor. Because Portland-area companies like Nike, Intel, and various SaaS firms file LCA data publicly, Migrate Mate surfaces that sponsorship signal alongside active listings, saving significant research time for candidates on OPT or awaiting H-1B.
Which cities in Oregon have the most product associate sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of product associate sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of consumer brands, tech firms, and agency-side product teams. The broader Portland metro, including Beaverton and Hillsboro, adds significant volume through Nike's world headquarters and Intel's campus. Eugene has a smaller but growing startup presence connected to the University of Oregon, though sponsorship activity there is more limited.
Are there state-specific considerations for product associates seeking sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon does not impose state-level visa filing requirements beyond federal standards, but prevailing wage determinations for product associate roles in the Portland metro tend to reflect the region's above-average cost of living, which affects the wage floor employers must meet on an LCA. Oregon's close university pipelines from Oregon State University and the University of Oregon also mean employers here are accustomed to hiring international graduates, which can ease internal HR familiarity with sponsorship processes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product associate jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
