Which companies sponsor visas for product marketers in Ohio?
Several large Ohio-based employers have established H-1B sponsorship track records for marketing roles. Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Progressive Insurance and KeyBank in Cleveland, and Nationwide and JPMorgan Chase operations in Columbus appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA filings for marketing-related positions. Mid-size SaaS and health tech companies in these metro areas also sponsor, though less consistently than the major corporations.
Which visa types are most common for product marketing roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product marketing roles in Ohio, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Candidates already holding TN visa status (Canadian or Mexican nationals), L-1 visa transfers from multinational employers, or O-1 visas for those with demonstrated marketing distinction are also viable paths depending on individual circumstances.
How to find product marketing visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it more efficient than broad job searches for international candidates. On Migrate Mate, you can search product marketing roles filtered to Ohio cities like Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati to surface employers actively open to sponsoring. Checking DOL LCA disclosure data alongside Migrate Mate listings helps confirm which Ohio employers have filed sponsorship paperwork for marketing positions historically.
Which cities in Ohio have the most product marketing sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is the strongest market, anchored by a dense cluster of insurance, fintech, and retail headquarters along with a growing tech sector. Cincinnati ranks second, driven largely by Procter & Gamble and a concentration of consumer goods and health companies. Cleveland adds opportunities in financial services and healthcare marketing. All three cities have active B2B SaaS presence that regularly hires product marketers.
Are there any Ohio-specific considerations for product marketing sponsorship candidates?
Ohio's cost of living relative to coastal markets means prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules are generally lower than in San Francisco or New York, which can reduce the barrier for smaller Ohio employers to sponsor. Ohio State University, Case Western Reserve, and the University of Cincinnati produce graduate pipelines that some employers tap, and candidates with alumni connections to these institutions may find warmer initial reception from Ohio-based hiring teams.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product marketing jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
