Which companies sponsor visas for support analysts in Ohio?
Several large Ohio employers have documented H-1B sponsorship histories for support analyst roles. These include JPMorgan Chase and KeyBank in Cleveland, Nationwide Insurance and OhioHealth in Columbus, and Cincinnati-based companies like Kroger and Fifth Third Bank. Large IT consulting firms with Ohio offices, such as Cognizant and Infosys, also sponsor support analysts and operate delivery centers across the state.
Which visa types are most common for support analyst roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for support analysts in Ohio, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information systems or computer science. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technical roles. L-1B intracompany transfers apply when candidates move from a foreign office of a multinational employer with Ohio operations.
Which cities in Ohio have the most support analyst sponsorship jobs?
Columbus generates the highest volume of support analyst sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of insurance companies, healthcare systems, and government contractors. Cleveland follows, supported by financial services firms and healthcare technology employers in that metro. Cincinnati is a strong third option, particularly within financial services and consumer goods companies. Dayton also sees demand tied to defense and aerospace IT operations.
How to find support analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Ohio employers actively hiring support analysts who need work authorization. Rather than sorting through general postings that rarely disclose sponsorship upfront, you can search by role and state on Migrate Mate to surface relevant openings from companies with documented sponsorship histories in Ohio's healthcare, finance, and technology sectors.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for support analysts in Ohio?
Ohio's strong university system, including Ohio State University, Case Western Reserve, and the University of Cincinnati, produces a steady pipeline of international graduates who remain in-state and enter the job market on OPT. This means Ohio employers are generally familiar with work authorization timelines and OPT-to-H-1B transitions. The state's lower cost of business compared to coastal markets also makes prevailing wage compliance more manageable for mid-sized Ohio employers considering sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored support analyst jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
