ABOUT PETCO
We’re proud to be "where the pets go" to find everything they need to live their best lives for more than 60 years — from their favorite meals and toys, to trusted supplies and expert support from people who get it, because we live it. We believe in the universal truths of pet parenthood — the boundless boops, missing slippers, late night zoomies and everything in between. And we’re here for it. Every tail wag, every vet visit, every step of the way. We are 29,000+ strong and together we nurture the pet-human bond in more than 1,500 Petco stores across the U.S., Mexico and Puerto Rico, 250+ Vetco Total Care hospitals, hundreds of preventive care clinics and eight distribution centers. In 1999, we founded Petco Love. Together, we support thousands of local animal welfare groups nationwide and have helped find homes for approximately 7 million animals through in-store adoption events.

Which animal care & pet services companies sponsor Green Card visas in Oklahoma?
Veterinary hospital groups operating multi-location practices in Oklahoma City and Tulsa have historically sponsored Green Cards for licensed veterinarians and veterinary specialists. Oklahoma State University's veterinary programs and affiliated research facilities also sponsor permanent residence for animal scientists and researchers. Larger corporate pet care chains with Oklahoma locations may sponsor for managerial and licensed veterinary roles, though sponsorship varies by position, employer size, and business need.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most animal care & pet services Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City and Tulsa concentrate the highest number of animal care Green Card sponsorship opportunities, driven by established veterinary hospital networks and commercial pet services operations. Stillwater stands out due to Oklahoma State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, which generates demand for veterinary specialists and research professionals. Lawton and Norman also see periodic openings, particularly in veterinary clinical roles and animal welfare organizations serving those metro areas.
What types of animal care & pet services roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Roles most commonly sponsored for Green Cards in Oklahoma's animal care sector include licensed veterinarians, veterinary specialists such as internists and surgeons, veterinary researchers, and animal scientists with advanced degrees. These positions typically require at minimum a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or a relevant graduate-level credential. General pet grooming or basic kennel attendant positions rarely support Green Card sponsorship because they do not meet the specialty occupation or priority worker criteria USCIS evaluates.
How do I find animal care & pet services Green Card sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can search for animal care and pet services roles in Oklahoma where employers have confirmed Green Card sponsorship. This saves time compared to manually contacting employers to ask about sponsorship eligibility. You can narrow results by city, role type, and experience level to find veterinary, research, or animal science positions aligned with your qualifications and Green Card pathway goals.
Are there state-specific or industry-specific factors that affect Green Card sponsorship in Oklahoma's animal care sector?
Oklahoma's strong agricultural economy means livestock and equine veterinary specialists are in consistent demand, which can support employer motivation to sponsor Green Cards for hard-to-fill roles. The PERM labor market test requires employers to demonstrate no qualified U.S. worker is available, a standard that veterinary specialists often meet given documented national shortages. Oklahoma's veterinary licensing board requirements also apply independently of immigration status, so international professionals should verify credential recognition before beginning the sponsorship process.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card animal care & pet services jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
