Which healthcare companies sponsor Green Card visas in Oklahoma?
The largest Green Card sponsors in Oklahoma's healthcare sector include INTEGRIS Health, OU Health, Ascension St. John, Saint Francis Health System, and SSM Health. Hospital networks with multiple facilities tend to have established immigration programs and in-house or contracted immigration counsel, making them more likely to initiate the PERM labor certification process required for employment-based Green Cards.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most healthcare Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City and Tulsa account for the majority of healthcare Green Card sponsorship opportunities in the state, driven by their concentration of major hospital systems, specialty clinics, and academic medical centers. Lawton, Norman, and Edmond also have active healthcare hiring markets. Rural and underserved counties, particularly those federally designated as Health Professional Shortage Areas, sometimes offer sponsorship through federally funded programs.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Physicians, registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and medical laboratory scientists are among the most commonly sponsored roles. Positions requiring a specific U.S.-accredited degree or licensure generally qualify under EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories. Roles in health information management, pharmacy, and radiology technology are also sponsored, particularly at larger health systems with dedicated HR immigration support.
How do I find healthcare Green Card sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can search for healthcare roles in Oklahoma where employers have indicated Green Card sponsorship availability. This saves time compared to sifting through general job postings that don't address sponsorship. Migrate Mate's listings cover a range of healthcare roles across Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and smaller markets, including both clinical and allied health positions.
Are there any state-specific considerations for healthcare Green Card sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma has a significant number of federally designated Health Professional Shortage Areas, particularly in rural counties, which can affect the sponsorship pathway available to physicians through programs like the Conrad 30 J-1 waiver. For non-physician roles, employers still follow the standard PERM and I-140 process. Oklahoma does not have state-specific immigration rules, but local licensing boards for nursing and allied health professions have their own credential evaluation requirements for internationally trained applicants.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card healthcare jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
