Which companies sponsor visas for clinical support associates in Oregon?
Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Providence Health & Services, Legacy Health, and Kaiser Permanente are among the most active sponsors for clinical support roles in Oregon. These large hospital systems and integrated health networks have established HR and immigration infrastructure, making them more likely to support H-1B or other work visa petitions than smaller clinics or independent practices.
Which visa types are most common for clinical support associate roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for clinical support associates in Oregon when the role qualifies as a specialty occupation, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in a clinical or health sciences field. Some roles are also filled through TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and J-1 exchange visitor programs through OHSU and other academic medical centers may apply in research-adjacent positions.
Which cities in Oregon have the most clinical support associate sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the majority of clinical support associate sponsorship opportunities in Oregon, given its concentration of major health systems and OHSU's academic medical campus. Salem, Eugene, and Bend have secondary markets driven by regional hospital networks like Salem Health and PeaceHealth. Portland's role as the state's primary urban healthcare hub makes it the most practical starting point for international job seekers.
How to find clinical support associate visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify clinical support associate openings in Oregon without sorting through roles that don't support international candidates. You can search by role and state to surface positions at Oregon health systems, academic medical centers, and integrated care organizations that have a documented history of sponsoring work visas.
Are there state-specific considerations for clinical support associates seeking sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon's healthcare workforce is heavily anchored by OHSU, which operates graduate training programs that can create pipelines from OPT or J-1 status into sponsored employment. Oregon also has prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program, which employers must meet regardless of other compensation arrangements. Clinical support roles tied to federally funded research at OHSU or affiliated institutions may have additional compliance requirements worth discussing with an immigration attorney.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored clinical support associate jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
