Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for data analysts?
Intel is one of Oregon's most active H-1B sponsors for data and analytics roles, particularly at its Hillsboro campus. Nike, Adidas, and Columbia Sportswear in the Portland metro also sponsor analysts. Healthcare organizations including Oregon Health and Science University and Providence Health regularly file for data-related positions. Technology firms like Daimler Trucks North America and various Portland-based software companies round out the sponsorship pool.
Which visa types are most common for data analyst roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data analyst roles in Oregon, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field. International candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT, including STEM OPT extensions, frequently transition into H-1B sponsorship through Oregon employers. O-1 visas are less common but available for analysts with exceptional publication or industry recognition.
Which cities in Oregon have the most data analyst sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of data analyst sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by corporate headquarters in apparel, technology, and healthcare. Hillsboro, home to Intel's largest U.S. campus, is a significant secondary hub with consistent demand for analytics professionals. Beaverton and the broader Washington County tech corridor also see regular sponsorship filings. Eugene and Corvallis generate smaller but steady pipelines, particularly through university-affiliated employers and regional healthcare systems.
How to find data analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles that include visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to search data analyst positions in Oregon without sifting through companies that won't sponsor. You can browse by state and role to surface active openings at Oregon employers like Intel, Nike, and OHSU. Because sponsorship willingness varies by company and hiring cycle, checking Migrate Mate regularly gives you the most current picture of which Oregon employers are actively hiring sponsored analysts.
Are there state-specific factors that affect data analyst visa sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon's concentration of semiconductor manufacturing through Intel's Hillsboro operations means a meaningful share of sponsorship filings come from engineering-adjacent analytics roles rather than pure business intelligence positions. Oregon State University and the University of Oregon produce domestic and international graduates who enter the local analytics workforce, creating a competitive but internationally active talent pipeline. Oregon has no state income tax for some nonresidents under specific conditions, which is worth discussing with a tax professional once you receive an offer.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data analyst jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
