Which companies sponsor visas for data analysts in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's largest visa sponsors for data analysts tend to come from energy, healthcare, and financial technology. Companies like Paycom, ONE Gas, ONEOK, INTEGRIS Health, and Hobby Lobby's corporate division have histories of sponsoring H-1B workers in analytical roles. National employers with Oklahoma operations, including Devon Energy and American Fidelity, also file sponsorships for data-focused positions.
Which visa types are most common for data analyst roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B is the most commonly sponsored visa for data analyst positions in Oklahoma, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field like statistics, computer science, or mathematics. Some employers also sponsor OPT extensions including STEM OPT, which allows F-1 graduates up to three years of work authorization before needing full H-1B sponsorship.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most data analyst sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City accounts for the majority of data analyst sponsorship activity in the state, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters in energy, insurance, and healthcare. Tulsa is the second-largest market, with demand from oil and gas firms, logistics companies, and regional banks. Norman and Stillwater see smaller volumes, often tied to university research roles or companies near the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University campuses.
How to find data analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters data analyst roles in Oklahoma by visa sponsorship status, so you're not sorting through listings from employers who won't sponsor. The platform surfaces opportunities across Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and other markets in industries like energy and healthcare, where sponsorship for analytical roles is most common. It's a practical starting point if you're on OPT or need H-1B sponsorship.
What should international data analysts know about the Oklahoma job market specifically?
Oklahoma's data analyst market is closely tied to the energy sector, so familiarity with operations data, production analytics, or supply chain metrics is a genuine advantage. Healthcare analytics is also growing, particularly around Oklahoma City's large hospital networks. The University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University produce local graduates, so international candidates who can demonstrate domain expertise in energy or clinical data tend to stand out in sponsorship consideration.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data analyst jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
