Which consulting companies sponsor Green Card visas in Oregon?
The Big Four accounting and consulting firms, including Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, and EY, have Portland-area offices with established Green Card sponsorship programs. National management consulting firms such as Accenture and Booz Allen Hamilton also operate in Oregon. Smaller regional consulting firms sponsor less frequently, and sponsorship decisions typically depend on the role's seniority, specialization, and the firm's internal immigration policies.
Which cities in Oregon have the most consulting Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of consulting Green Card sponsorship opportunities in Oregon, given its concentration of corporate headquarters, technology companies, and professional services offices. Beaverton sees activity tied to Nike's global operations and surrounding tech employers. Eugene and Salem have smaller consulting markets with limited sponsorship activity, making Portland the primary target for candidates pursuing Green Card sponsorship in the consulting sector.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Oregon?
Management consultants, strategy analysts, IT consultants, financial advisory specialists, and human capital consultants are among the roles Oregon employers most commonly sponsor. Positions requiring specialized degrees in business, engineering, computer science, or finance tend to qualify under the EB-2 category. Operations and technology implementation roles often fall under EB-3. Generalist roles without a defined specialty degree requirement are less commonly sponsored through employer-backed Green Card petitions.
How do I find consulting Green Card sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters consulting jobs in Oregon by Green Card sponsorship, saving you from manually researching each employer's immigration policies. The platform surfaces roles at firms with active PERM and I-140 filing histories in the state. Searching by industry and visa type on Migrate Mate significantly narrows the field compared to browsing general job boards where sponsorship status is rarely disclosed upfront.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in consulting?
Oregon does not have state-level immigration programs, so Green Card sponsorship follows federal PERM labor certification requirements regardless of location. One practical consideration is Oregon's relatively tight professional services labor market in Portland, which can affect prevailing wage determinations during the PERM process. Consulting firms operating across multiple states may file your petition under a different office location, so confirming the filing location with your employer matters for timeline and wage compliance purposes.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card consulting jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
