Which companies sponsor visas for sales specialists in Oregon?
Oregon-based employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship history in sales-adjacent roles include Nike, Intel, Daimler Trucks North America, and Portland-area SaaS companies such as Viewpoint and Acquia. Medical device firms concentrated in the Hillsboro and Beaverton corridors also sponsor international sales specialists where the role requires specialized technical or scientific knowledge tied to a qualifying degree.
Which visa types are most common for sales specialist roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for Oregon sales specialists, but the role must qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Sales engineers, technical account managers, and life sciences sales roles tied to a relevant degree field are stronger H-1B candidates than general commercial sales positions. TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories.
Which cities in Oregon have the most sales specialist sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the largest share of sales specialist visa sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its enterprise software, financial services, and healthcare sectors. Beaverton and Hillsboro follow closely, anchored by Nike's global headquarters and Intel's large campus. Eugene has a smaller but active market connected to the University of Oregon's business and sciences pipeline and regional technology employers.
How to find sales specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to identify Oregon sales specialist roles where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor. Rather than sorting through general job postings, you can browse only positions relevant to international candidates, including technical sales, sales engineering, and account management roles with sponsorship across Portland, Beaverton, and Hillsboro.
Are there state-specific considerations for sales specialist sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal rules, but prevailing wage compliance under the H-1B program is determined by the Portland metropolitan statistical area or relevant local region, which affects what employers must pay. Oregon's strong university system, particularly Oregon State University and the University of Oregon, creates a consistent pipeline of international graduates entering technical sales fields and seeking sponsorship from in-state employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales specialist jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
