Which companies sponsor visas for strategy managers in Oregon?
Nike (Beaverton), Intel (Hillsboro), and Adidas North America (Portland) are among Oregon's most consistent sponsors for strategy manager roles, given their global workforces and established HR infrastructure for international hiring. Healthcare systems like Providence and OHSU, along with technology firms in the Silicon Forest cluster, also file H-1B visa petitions for strategic planning and business strategy positions with meaningful regularity.
Which visa types are most common for strategy manager roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy managers in Oregon, since the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with prior U.S. employer relationships may also see L-1A intracompany transferee petitions, particularly at multinational firms like Nike or Adidas with global operations that move management talent across borders.
Which cities in Oregon have the most strategy manager sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of strategy manager sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, tech companies, and consumer goods firms. Beaverton and Hillsboro, part of the greater Portland metro area, add significant volume through Nike's global campus and Intel's large semiconductor operations. Eugene has a smaller but emerging market, particularly connected to University of Oregon's business and sports industry ecosystem.
How to find strategy manager visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse strategy manager roles in Oregon without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can narrow results by location and role type to focus on Portland, Beaverton, and Hillsboro employers. This saves significant time compared to manually researching which Oregon companies have a history of sponsoring business strategy positions.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for strategy managers in Oregon?
Oregon's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are set by the Department of Labor based on the Portland metropolitan statistical area, which reflects the region's competitive corporate market. The state's strong presence of large multinationals, particularly in consumer goods and semiconductors, means many Oregon employers already have experienced immigration counsel and established sponsorship processes, which can make the petition process more predictable for incoming strategy manager candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy manager jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
