Which companies sponsor visas for strategy managers in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon, and Boeing are among the most active sponsors for strategy manager roles in Washington, given their scale and global talent pipelines. Consulting firms with Seattle offices, including Accenture and McKinsey, also sponsor regularly. Healthcare systems like Providence and UW Medicine hire strategy professionals and have sponsored work visas, though frequency varies by role and business need.
Which visa types are most common for strategy manager roles in Washington?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for strategy managers in Washington, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher in fields like business, economics, or management. Candidates with prior intracompany experience may qualify for the L-1A or L-1B. Nationals from Australia and certain treaty countries may also have access to the E-3 visa or TN visa categories.
Which cities in Washington have the most strategy manager sponsorship jobs?
Seattle accounts for the large majority of strategy manager sponsorship activity in Washington, driven by its concentration of major tech and corporate employers. Bellevue is a strong secondary market, with Microsoft's main campus nearby and a growing cluster of technology and finance firms. Redmond and Kirkland also see some activity. Outside the greater Seattle metro, sponsorship opportunities for this role are limited.
How to find strategy manager visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to browse strategy manager openings in Washington without sorting through roles that don't sponsor. You can narrow results by location, industry, and visa type. Because sponsorship availability changes frequently, checking Migrate Mate regularly gives you an up-to-date picture of which Washington employers are actively hiring international candidates for strategy roles.
Are there any Washington-specific considerations for strategy manager visa sponsorship?
Washington's H-1B prevailing wage requirements are benchmarked to the Seattle metropolitan area, which reflects a high-cost, competitive labor market. This means employers must offer wages that meet DOL wage levels for strategy managers in this region, which can influence how employers structure roles and sponsorship decisions. Washington also has a strong university pipeline through the University of Washington, which feeds talent into local employers who are already familiar with sponsoring international graduates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy manager jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
