Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of experience in public accounting or related field
- 3 years supervisory experience
- Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
- Proficient use of applicable technology
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
- Review federal and state corporate returns; Review high level federal and state partnership returns.
- Train and supervise staff, review and evaluate their work.
- Perform evaluations on lower level staff.
- Manage compliance engagements, from budgeting to scheduling to managing staff.
- Make suggestions to help improve efficiencies, within department and on engagements.
- Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate interest and knowledge of client's business.
- Perform research and draft memoranda on corporate tax issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field
- Bachelor’s degree with a preference of study in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years’ of relevant work and industry experience
- Prior experience managing engagements and clients
- Ability to work independently, but also work well with others
- Enrolled Agent designation
- Strong technical and broad based advisory and client management skills
