Which companies sponsor visas for C.N.A.s in South Carolina?
The largest sponsors of C.N.A. roles in South Carolina include MUSC Health, Prisma Health, Encompass Health, and major long-term care operators like Brookdale Senior Living and Genesis HealthCare. These organizations have established HR infrastructure for work visa sponsorship and regularly hire internationally for frontline nursing support positions across the state.
Which visa types are most common for C.N.A. roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B visa is less common for C.N.A. roles because the position generally does not meet the specialty occupation standard requiring a bachelor's degree. Employers more commonly sponsor C.N.A.s through the EB-3 immigrant visa pathway, which covers unskilled and semi-skilled workers. Some facilities also work with staffing agencies that recruit internationally under applicable visa categories for healthcare support roles.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most C.N.A. sponsorship jobs?
Columbia and Charleston consistently have the highest concentration of C.N.A. openings tied to major hospital systems and academic medical centers. Greenville has grown significantly as Prisma Health expanded its Upstate network. Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head Island see steady demand from retirement and assisted living communities serving the Grand Strand's large retiree population.
How to find c.n.a. visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search C.N.A. roles in South Carolina without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings from healthcare employers across Columbia, Charleston, and Greenville that have a track record of sponsoring work visas for nursing support and direct care roles.
Are there any state-specific considerations for C.N.A. sponsorship in South Carolina?
South Carolina requires C.N.A.s to hold active certification through the state's Nurse Aide Registry, maintained by the Department of Health and Human Services. International candidates should confirm their certification is in good standing or plan for the state testing process before or shortly after arrival. Employers in rural counties, particularly in the Pee Dee and Lowcountry regions, sometimes show greater sponsorship flexibility due to persistent staffing shortages.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored c.n.a. jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
