Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance, and advising students. Candidates must also be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must have at least a master's degree in nursing education. Applicants who have a MSN in another area will be required to complete a post-master's certificate in nursing education or successfully complete the Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) examination within three (3) years of hire. Candidates must also have a current SC RN license and a minimum of two (2) years clinical experience related to the primary area of the assigned teaching responsibilities, which is fundamentals / medical-surgical nursing courses.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience in an ADN or BSN program is highly preferred. Clinical experience with and knowledge base of content related to the assigned teaching responsibilities is essential. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are also essential.
