Schedule: Saturday through Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

Pay: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Overview

An established property management company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support operations at an upscale resort property in North Myrtle Beach, SC. This is a full-time, year-round, temp-to-permanent opportunity with the potential for long-term career growth based on attendance, performance, and business needs.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional maintenance experience, a solid and consistent work history, and broad knowledge of general property repairs. This position requires a dependable, detail-oriented individual who can independently complete routine maintenance, troubleshoot basic issues, and help maintain clean, safe, and well-kept common areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the property.
• Patch drywall, repair holes, and complete basic interior and exterior painting.
• Perform minor electrical repairs within the scope of the position.
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC issues and determine when a licensed vendor or specialized technician is required.
• Complete general handyman tasks, preventive maintenance, and property inspections.
• Maintain common areas, restrooms, exterior spaces, and pool areas.
• Remove litter, debris, and other potential hazards from outdoor areas.
• Assist with light janitorial duties when needed.
• Identify and report safety concerns, property damage, and larger repair needs to management.
• Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance tasks when required.
• Follow all safety procedures, property policies, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service to residents, guests, vendors, and team members.

Required Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience as a Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician, Building Maintenance Technician, or in a closely related role.
• Demonstrated experience with drywall repair, painting, basic electrical work, HVAC troubleshooting, plumbing, and general property repairs.
• Solid and consistent employment history.
• Ability to assess maintenance issues and determine when an outside vendor or licensed professional is required.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and complete tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the required Saturday-through-Wednesday schedule.
• Reliable transportation to and from the North Myrtle Beach worksite.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, vendors, and property guests.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a resort, hotel, condominium, apartment community, or property management environment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and work-order systems.
• Previous janitorial, groundskeeping, or pool-area maintenance experience.

Physical Requirements

The employee may be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, use ladders, operate hand and power tools, and lift or move materials and equipment during the workday.
