- Responsible for disassembly, inspecting, repairing and reassembling equipment on customer rolls.
- Read and understand process sheet and paperwork to determine specifications.
- Disassembles and repairs necessary parts on customer equipment using appropriate tools. This may include drilling, tapping, using a torch, cleaning and removing bearings and cleaning parts.
- Reassembles equipment to customer specifications.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Conforms to safety and inspection requirements.
- Complete daily paperwork.
Qualifications/Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years experience helpful, will train qualified candidate.
- Ability to read and use tape measures, calipers and micrometers, including metric measurements.
- Good mechanical aptitude and mechanical experience with good working knowledge and experience with powered hand tools.
- Knowledge of hydraulics helpful.
- Experience using lift trucks and overhead cranes desired.
- Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs. and work up to 12 hour shift on concrete floor.
- Ability to train for operation of all machines.
