Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain managers in South Carolina?
BMW Manufacturing in Spartanburg, Volvo Cars in Berkeley County, Boeing in North Charleston, and Michelin North America in Greenville are among the larger employers in South Carolina with documented H-1B sponsorship activity for operations and supply chain roles. Pharmaceutical and distribution companies in the Charleston area also appear in federal LCA disclosure data as sponsors for supply chain manager positions.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain manager roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for supply chain manager roles in South Carolina, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations management. L-1A visas are also used when candidates are being transferred intracompany from an overseas managerial role into a U.S.-based supply chain leadership position.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most supply chain manager sponsorship jobs?
Spartanburg and Greenville see consistent demand driven by the automotive and advanced manufacturing clusters concentrated along the I-85 corridor. Charleston is active due to its deepwater port, which supports large distribution and logistics operations requiring supply chain management. Columbia, as the state capital, also has opportunities tied to government contractors, healthcare systems, and regional distribution centers.
How to find supply chain manager visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to supply chain manager roles in South Carolina where employers are open to visa sponsorship, which saves significant time compared to filtering generic job results manually. You can search by location and role to surface positions from manufacturers, logistics companies, and distributors operating across the Upstate and Lowcountry regions that have sponsorship histories.
Are there any South Carolina-specific considerations for supply chain managers seeking visa sponsorship?
South Carolina's concentration of foreign-owned manufacturers, including BMW, Volvo, and Michelin, means a meaningful share of sponsoring employers are multinationals already experienced with U.S. work visa processes. The state's port infrastructure in Charleston also creates demand for supply chain managers with international logistics backgrounds, which can strengthen an H-1B petition by aligning the candidate's experience directly with the employer's operational needs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain manager jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
