JOB SUMMARY
As a Staff Accountant at Jabil, Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing financial statements.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Process payroll-related transactions.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
- Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
